STLE Toronto On-line Meeting Notice: Water Mitigation and Control in Industrial Oils: Selecting the Right Technologies for Effective Contamination Management Jan 13th , 2026
Reducing Tribological Losses and Failures – Part 37
STLE TORONTO SECTION – On-line
Speaker: Mr. Scott Howard CLS, OMA
Subject: Water Mitigation and Control in Industrial Oils: Selecting the Right Technologies for Effective Contamination Management
Date: Jan 13th 2026
Time: 12:00 to 1:00 PM EST
Abstract:
This presentation provides an objective overview of water mitigation and control methods in industrial oil applications, focusing on when and why certain technologies—such as vacuum dehydrators, coalesce skids, and carts—are preferred over others. Without any sales emphasis, we will explore the practical approaches to addressing water contamination, including the strengths and limitations of each option in various scenarios. Key topics include comparisons between vertical and horizontal vacuum chambers in dehydrators, as well as sizing considerations for carts and skids. By linking each piece of equipment to its specific functions and contrasting them against alternatives, attendees will gain reinforced insights into optimal strategies for maintaining oil quality. Ideal for professionals seeking to enhance their understanding of water content control, this session equips participants with the knowledge to make informed decisions in industrial settings.
